Last updated: 1 March 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By enrolling in any SHE Academy training, course, retreat, event, or certification program, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
These terms apply to all programs delivered by SHE Academy and J’anaki Ashira.
2. Enrolment and Securing Your Place
A participant’s place in a program is secured only once payment, or the first instalment of an agreed payment plan, has been received.
SHE Academy programs operate with limited spaces. Once a place is reserved it is removed from availability for other applicants.
3. Payments and Payment Plans
Where payment plans are offered, the participant agrees to complete all scheduled payments in full according to the agreed payment schedule.
This commitment remains in place regardless of attendance, participation, withdrawal, or completion of the program.
Failure to maintain payments may result in suspension of access to program materials, sessions, or community spaces.
4. Refund Policy
All payments made to SHE Academy are non-refundable.
Due to the limited capacity of training programs and the preparation required for each cohort, once a place has been secured the space cannot be resold.
This policy applies to:
full payments
deposits
payment plans
discounted places
scholarship places
5. Deferrals
In the case of significant unforeseen circumstances such as illness, injury, or personal hardship, participants may request to defer their enrolment to a future intake of the same program.
Deferrals:
must be requested in writing
are granted at the discretion of SHE Academy
are typically limited to the next available intake
Any payments already made will be applied to the deferred program.
6. Withdrawals
Participants who choose to withdraw from a program after enrolment remain responsible for completing all payments associated with their chosen payment plan.
Access to materials and sessions may be revoked if payments are not maintained.
7. Certification Requirements
Certification from SHE Academy requires successful completion of the program requirements which may include:
attendance at training sessions
completion of assignments
submission of practice hours
professional conduct within the community
SHE Academy reserves the right to withhold certification where requirements are not met.
8. Participant Responsibility
All teachings, practices, and training materials offered through SHE Academy are educational in nature.
Participants are responsible for their own physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing while participating in any practices offered.
Participants with medical conditions should consult a healthcare professional before engaging in any physical or wellness practices.
9. Retreats and In-Person Events
Retreats and in-person events may involve additional logistical costs including venue bookings, accommodation, and catering.
For this reason, retreat payments may have separate cancellation timelines and policies which will be communicated at the time of booking.
10. Intellectual Property
All course materials, manuals, recordings, teachings, and resources remain the intellectual property of SHE Academy and J’anaki Ashira.
Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or teach these materials without written permission.

Where possible, participants will be notified of any changes in advance.
12. Community Conduct
Participants are expected to engage respectfully within SHE Academy spaces including online platforms, live trainings, and community groups.
SHE Academy reserves the right to remove participants whose behaviour disrupts the safety or integrity of the learning environment.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
14. Participation and Results Disclaimer
SHE Academy provides educational training, mentorship, and professional development programs. While guidance, tools, and support are provided, individual results depend on the participant’s personal commitment, participation, and application of the teachings.
Enrolment in a program does not guarantee specific personal, professional, or financial outcomes.
Failure to attend sessions, complete assignments, participate in community spaces, or engage with the program materials does not constitute grounds for refunds, payment cancellation, or disputes.
Participants acknowledge that they are responsible for their own level of engagement and results within the program.
15. Health and Wellbeing Disclaimer
SHE Academy trainings may include practices such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, and other wellbeing exercises.
Participants agree to take full responsibility for their own physical and mental wellbeing while participating in these activities and are encouraged to consult a qualified healthcare professional if they have any medical concerns.
